How to Set up Your Nightly Wallet

Finding the right wallet provider is crucial to having a smooth and seamless NFT experience. Today, we’re highlighting one of our community’s favorites: Nightly.

Nightly supports every Move-based chain available on TradePort and makes onboarding incredibly simple. Here’s a quick guide to help you get started for the first time.

Download the Wallet

For Browser: Navigate to the official Nightly website or the relevant browser extension store (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and install the Nightly Wallet extension.

For Mobile: Download the Nightly - multichain wallet app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Open Nightly Wallet

Once installed, click on the Nightly Wallet icon in your browser toolbar or open the application.

Create a New Wallet (or Restore)

You will be prompted to create a new wallet or restore an existing one using a seed phrase. If you’re using Nightly for the first time, select "Create a new wallet."

Note: Google sign-in is also available for an even simpler onboarding experience.

Set a Password

Enter a strong password and confirm it. This password is used to encrypt and unlock the wallet on your specific device. Click “Next.”

Safeguard Your Secret Recovery Phrase

The next screen will display your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase). This is the most critical step. Write down the 12-word phrase in the exact order and store it securely offline. Do not share this phrase with anyone.

After securely noting it down, confirm you have saved it and click “Next.”

Wallet Created

You will receive a confirmation that your Nightly wallet has been created. Click on “Log in to your wallet” to finish the setup process and open the dashboard.

Connecting to the right Network

After logging in, you will be on the Nightly Wallet dashboard. Since Nightly is a multichain wallet, you need to select the specific network (Sui, Movement, etc) you want to use.

Look for a drop-down menu or network selector (usually at the top of the wallet interface) and select your choice network.

Once you have selected the right Network, your wallet address displayed will be compatible with that chain. You can begin interacting with decentralized applications (dApps) like TradePort!
