How to Buy a Liquid NFT

Liquid NFTs unlock new ways to buy and trade NFTs on TradePort. Today, we’re breaking down the different options available to you.

Buy an NFT out of the bridge with the collection’s fungible token

1. Go to the NFT collection page.
2. Click on the “liquify” tab.

3. Here you will find the “bridge.” Under the price column, you will see the valuation of each NFT in terms of MYSTIC, the Mystic Yeti fungible token. You will notice that rare NFTs have a higher valuation than the more common NFTs. This is because the valuation was determined by the rarity score.
4. Find an NFT you’d like to buy inside the bridge? Hover over the “actions” column and click “buy.”

5. Make sure you have enough fungible tokens. If you are short, TradePort has a built-in swap feature to help out.

6. After you have enough MYSTIC, finish buying your NFT, and it's now yours!
7. Now that you own the NFT, you will earn rewards just by holding it in your wallet. You can also swap it back to the allocated amount of fungible tokens at any time. View your NFTs under the “My Items” Tab.

Buy NFTs with Sui

Liquid NFTs aren’t limited to being bought and sold with the fungible token. You can also buy like normal on the marketplace. What gets interesting is when you compare the liquid value of an NFT to the traditional value of an NFT.

1. Navigate to the “items” tab on the collection page.
2. Filter for “listed.”

3. Add other filters, such as those by price or attribute.

4. Click on the NFT you’d like to buy and complete the transaction!

Arbitrage between liquid and traditional Value

Interesting opportunities arise for savvy traders once you start comparing the liquified value and the traditional value of the NFTs.

1. If a rare NFT is traditionally listed at a lower valuation than the liquified value, you could purchase the NFT and redeem a higher value in liquid tokens. Also consider how many rewards each NFT has accumulated.

2. At the same time, you should compare the floor price to the liquid value of the NFTs. You may be able to purchase an NFT out of the bridge at a lower price than the floor, and then make a premium when it is sold on the marketplace.
